Sweating off the Pounds
It’s been so so hot and humid here the past week. Rain all around us. All we get is threatening skies and thunder. The past three days, I’ve been helping my husband doing cutting grass and trimming hedges, trees, and bushes. This weather takes my breathe away. Needless to say, I was so glad we finished yesterday.
I made sure I took plenty of water with us as well as my favorite, Diet Lipton Citrus Green Tea. By the time we got done each day, our clothes were soaking wet from sweat. I know any weight loss like this is temporary.
I took my Omron pedometer with me each day as well. Although, I only cut grass one of these days, I still managed to walk over two miles each day doing the yard work. (Big yard….lots and lots of bushes)
I’m relaxing today. My knees are still giving me fits. The only thing that seems to help is staying off them for a day or two. I think I wore them out carrying mail for so many years.
My plans for lunch today is cod fish, brown rice, and a salad with fresh tomatoes from our garden.

I prefer cooler weather too. We have several lawns to do tomorrow…sure hope the weather cooperates. I’m not watching the news…I won’t sleep well if I see how hot is going to be. Silly….I know.

I’ve tried several different things to loose weight - last year I was feeling just awful - no energy, depressed, headaches, etc, etc…finally went to a naturopath doctor to see what he would suggest… suggested some vitamins and a probiotic, gave me a diet plan to follow for 21 days (detox type thing)… WORKED GREAT!!! I lost 16 pounds in 3 weeks - I was really tired the first week - and it was HARD staying on it but I did and my energy level came back up, my cholesterol even went down. I’ve kept that weight off and I know how to control everything I eat now… I still have weight to lose but I’m at a weight now I can cope with - I control my weight by eating more raw veggies and lots of fresh fruit (I LOVE THE FRUIT STANDS IN SUMMER!!!) I’m not skinny - nor do I exercise - I do like to turn the radio up and boogie down in the kitchen while I’m preparing meals…It’s a natural mood lifter. Take care. Diet safe.

Anonymous: I’m glad to hear you found a program that helped you. Most have a hard time maintaining. I agree with you, feeling good about yourself at any size is important. I love the fruit stands as well. We go to one in Mississippi that has the wonderful fresh peanuts as well. Thanks for your encouragement. I wish you the best as well.
