Stressed!!…But Staying On Track With My Weight Loss
This blog is like a dairy to me. I realize there are many that read it but since I don’t have personal contact with them…it’s ok. In fact, there were only three people who know of this website…..two of my sons and my husband. None of them read it very often.
I’m so upset at my husband. He took it upon himself to show my website to a couple of his friends when he was doing something to their computer Saturday. (They have to know VERY little about a computer to ask him for help.) I told him it was an invasion of my privacy.
I only got about two hours sleep Saturday night. All I could think about is someone I know, reading my stuff. (I’m hoping they read this and delete the website off their computer.) I’m actually a very private person and don’t share things about myself. I’ve always been that way. Actually, I’m a good listener and most people do love to talk about themselves or people in their lives.
My point is with sharing this is…..I am still staying on my weight loss path. Normally, when things use to upset me, I’d find myself raiding the refrigerator for comfort. There’s nothing like a cheeseburger and fries or a pizza, to take my mind off what’s bothering me. This time, I’m sticking to my bottled water.
Today is my 10th day on introducing my healthy life change. I have decreased my calorie intake, and increased my exercise. I am proud to say, I have lost 5 pounds. I had lost 6 pounds but the scales says 5 pounds this morning. Either way, I’m happy with this weight loss. I am not using any particular diet or drugs. I’m just back down to the basics….eating healthy food in moderation and going to the gym.
I refuse to let anyone rain on my parade…even if it is my inconsiderate husband. Gotta run…time to deliver Meals on Wheels for the disabled.

Hello. I stumbled across your page while I was working on my blog. I have only read the entry you have posted today, but I got a great sense of your personality just from that one entry. I wanted to post this before continuing to read on. You are a very brave person to have posted your journey on a blog. I was a little apprehensive about doing the same. I started up a weightloss blog in hopes to encourage myself a bit to stay on track, since nothing else has really worked yet.
I look forward to reading the rest of this. If you don’t mind, do I have permission to post your link on my blog? I won’t post it unless I have your direct permission.
I wish you the best of luck!

Hi,
I am on a very similar path to you, and also to the person who commented above! I’ve tried many things but nothing else has worked, so giving the blog thing a go. I would really like to start a sort of online community, so I think it would be cool if we all sort of banded together! Like the person above, I’d love to put a link to your blog on mine and vice versa. Please visit my blog – it’s not as fancy as yours, but it’s a start! Let me know your thoughts!
Many thanks and good luck!

Poor management of type 1 diabetes mellitus, also known as insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM), leads to an excessive amount of glucose and an insufficient amount of insulin in the bloodstream. This triggers the release of triglycerides from adipose (fat) tissue and catabolism (breakdown) of amino acids in muscle tissue. This results in a loss of both fat and lean mass, leading to a significant reduction in total body weight. Note that untreated type 1 diabetes mellitus will usually not produce weight loss, as these patients get acutely ill before they would have had time to lose weight.

When I started my blog a few months ago, I told all my friends and family that I was starting a blog documenting my weight loss.
Glad I did because knowing that these people are constantly checking up on my progress through the blog is a great motivation to keep eating healthy and working out. It’s working so far fingers crossed I can carry it on.
Keep up the good work and congratulations on your weight loss.

I love your back to basics approach to weight loss. I think it makes a lot of sense. I also LOVE the fact that you don’t let anyone spoil your weight loss plans. Great work!! You are a very inspiring individual.

I just stumbled upon your blog. I like it, it is interesting to read about someone with similar problems. I am not as brave as you though….I am not sure I would let my family read mine!
I hope you continue, I shall continue to read it.

I was looking for inspiration for a blog entry of my own when I came across yours. My friend and I are co-writing a blog and have been doing so since Sept. It’s so nice to read that there are others who are struggling with the same issue and have turned to blogging as a way to stay on track. Keep up the good work, I know it’s hard and if you want feel free to check out our blog (project180gone). Stay strong!

I don’t think you should have been angry about your husband showing people your blog. Maybe he is proud of you! And if you have a blog on the internet, it is pretty unrealistic to think that people won’t see it…

Lori,
I realize people are going to see my blog but they don’t KNOW me.

Yes, your point is understood. Remember however, there is a large list of people undergoing problems with their weight and something you may share may be the one most important information that they can use to assist them in their efforts to lose weight. Share your journey and be proud of it and your efforts to live a healthier lifestyle.
