Rejecting Comments on Weight Loss

I just read a comment in my email left by an individual that also has a weight loss blog. I just shook my head and rejected it. Why do people think anyone would want to link to a site that has such unrealistic claims. The individual claimed to have lost 33 pounds in 3 weeks. How ridiculous is that!!!!

Another goofy comment…..30 pounds in one week. Geesh No wonder there is so much money spent on weight loss…too many believe that is possible. I don’t consider myself cynical….I’m a REALIST!!!

    Hi Mom
I think I could lose 33 pounds in 3 weeks. But it sure wouldn’t be healthy.

Goes off to measure leg for appropriate saw blade size ;)

I am not sure whether or not it was my blog you read, but after YOU have undergone Gastric by pass YOU will see it is possible to lose 33 pounds in three weeks. However it does not continue to come off this fast. With healthy eating, exercise and the tool of gastric by pass it will continue to melt off. My body is starving and there is nothing I can do. I just wanted to let you know I have lost 36 pounds and it has only been 1 month. It is your issue if you continue to judge and make assumptions without knowing all the facts.
    Thanks.

Oh my, another comment left from a professed Christian. She thought perhaps I had read HER blog about Her gastric by-pass surgery in which she lost 36 lbs in one month. It’s funny how people can read things into such a simple statement made. I used the word COMMENT which does NOT mean blog in my post. Thinking…..she should have asked if she didn’t understand the simple post I made….isn’t that what Christians do?
