I was reading an article in the Medical News Today. It states that 40% of United States people between the ages of 55-64, are obese and 50% also have high blood pressure. I’ll be 55 next month and I fit both categories. I’ve been taking my meds faithfully since the doc told me that I could have a heart attack if I kept up with the sparatic method I had been taking them. I figured once I retire, that awful stress was gone and I wouldn’ t need them. Hmmm…..shows how much I know. I want to lose about 80 more pounds. Perhaps then my blood pressure will be normal with out medication.
I went to the gym again today…sure had to push myself out that door. I worked out for little over an hour on the treadmill…which amounted to 4 miles and 500 calories. I then workedout on the rowing machine for 20 minutes for 200 calories. The last machine I used was the bicycle for 150 calories which took me another 20 minutes. I finished my program with various leg and arm exercise machines which took me little over half hour.
I just got home…..had shopping to do. I’ve been on the go since 7 am. It really makes me wonder how I ever had time to work. It’s break time now!!!!
