More LA Weight Loss Centers Closing in Texas

An individual employed at a Texas LA Weight Loss Center has informed me the offices in Austin, Corpus Christi, and the Victoria LA Weightloss Centers are closing. The employees have been instructed not to tell customers the offices are closing but to tell them they are shortenig their times of being open.
This employee along with a few of her coworkers, are saddened by these tactics. She emphazised how much these employees really care about their clients. She wants the readers to know, there really are lots of good, caring counselors.
She wants people to know the truth about these LA Weight Loss Centers.
Thank you for sharing this information. I know it will help many people.
To the clients: Although your weight loss facility maybe closing, stay focused and continue on your weight loss journey. Take what you have learned and stay on track. YOU WILL SUCCEED!!!!!!!…….one pound at a time.

Stewart, I think it’s poor financial management along with improperly trained employees.

My center in King of Prussia, PA, has closed. Where can I get the nutrition bars? I really depend on them and cannot find their equal in the stores. Obviously, I would pay shipping and handling. Thank you

Are you speaking of the LA Lites? If so, I have a few boxes that I would be willing to sell. I am trying to leave the program, as it did not work for me, although I am fully aware that it has worked for others. (Also, having trouble getting my $$$ back.)
If interested, email me at pnlm1128@satx.rr.com. Thanks!

Another San Diego market update - All the remaining centers in the San Deigo market that did not close last month, are closing now! The centers is Chula Vista, El Cajon and Poway are closing their doors as of tonight (09-10-2008) leaving only the Mission Valley and Oceanside locations open for a week, before they close on 9-17-08. If anybody in the San Diego market reads this before those centers close tonight and you are owed any product, go get it now, if you can, and also as for your file so you can make sure your social security & credit card numbers and any other personal information don’t get dumped in the trash. Otherwise go to the Mission Valley or Oceanside centers before the 17th. Hope this news helps, and sorry for the short notice, but the news just came down the pipe an hour ago.
Funny enough, they also have a nationwide marketing campaign for a Friends & Family two for one signup scheduled for the 16th! I would not refer anyone to join in San Diego if I were you - not much value in a 24 hour program…

215-364-0400 Not sure if this will help anyone or not, but here is the DIRECT line phone number for the offices of Harold Katz, owner of LA Weight Loss Franchise Company Inc, the the top guy of all LA operations WORLDWIDE!!, hiding under the guise of http://www.katzgroup.com. Go to that website for his address as well. It’s very interesting if you read the profile if Mr Katz - no mention that he owns and operates the LA Weight Loss Franchise Co Inc. I wonder why? - to try hiding from all of his angry customers, on his way to a new venture? with OUR money?? But the assests page does list Katz Group owning 100% of LA Weight Loss Franchise. Look him up online, started Nutri/System, built it up to a half billion dollar company, ran it into the ground, sold it, then started LA Weight Loss, with partner Vahan Karian, who split with Katz a few years back, then went BK with Pure Weight Loss last year (formally LA Weight Loss Centers Inc.) This phone number also reaches Brian Siegel, General Counsel, VP LA Weight Loss Franchise, and Mr Katz’s personal attorney for over 30 years. He might be a good guy to contact to try and get out money back before they BK like Pure did and we all get nothing (slim chance anyway, but it will at least make you feel better. This # is direct to their office! Might not get you anywhere, but it might make you feel better to complain a bit! Good Luck.

What will become of the 50% refund of registration fee’s for those of us who have maintained our weight loss goal for 6 and then 12 months.
That was part of my contract when I signed up. Who do we collect that refund from…does anyone have any suggestions?

I understand the frustration that many people are feeling about the recent closures of LA weight loss centers. I think I know how many of you feel. I run a weight loss and wellness clinic (Beverly Hills Weight-Loss and Wellness)in the Austin Area and I know that my customers would be pretty upset if we just dissapeared one day while they were in the middle of their weight loss programs.
If you are near the Austin / Cedar Park area and you would like to continue your weight-loss goals, I will honor your LA Weight Loss contracts. Just show proof of your enrollment in LA’s program, and I’ll give you free enrollment in one of our programs. The supplements are superior and we dont force you to buy a ton of products up front like LA often does. You buy them as you go and you can stop at any time if you are unsatisfied with the program. If you would like to get more information about what we do and how we do it, please visit beverlyhillsofaustin.com or give us a call at 259-7222.

This message is to the former employees of LA Weight Loss Clinics that have closed: Please contact me via email. I know there were many people affected by the abrupt closings of the LA Weight Loss Centers. Patients, employees & the franchisees. I have had many patients tell me they have been so successful on the program, but I know by experience the program is only half of component, the encouragers/motivators (you) are the other half and most important part of these successes. I have a business idea that may provide services back to the patients, a profitable business back to the franchisees and jobs back to the employees. Most people that have ever been employeed in the weight loss business LOVE what they do. And therefore are very valuable. You can reach me at weightlossllc@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Anita

I just found out yesterday that the centers closed yesterday. I couldn’t believe it so I drove to the center that I was attending, which was in Chula Vista and sure enough it was closed. I just think that was pretty messed up that nobody got any notice about this. So where are all the former employees? What happened to them? I’m out $400 now and I haven’t started the program. It’s mainly my fault cuz I quit but then tried going back yesterday. Honestly, I don’t want my money back, I would still like to do the program but I wasn’t in it long enough to get all the information. Can any former employee work with me to give me all the information I missed out on? Funny thing is, before I even paid for the program, my counselor, Lori said I didn’t have to buy the bars. Then after I paid $400, she was insisting that I buy the bars but I told her if I had to buy the bars then I would just quit the program cuz it was still within the 3 days and she said fine, you don’t have to buy the bars. I just feel so lucky that I refused to buy any supplements or LA Lites cuz then I would have been out of thousands of dollars. I’ve read great reviews that it really does work. So please feel free to contact me. My email is aquanettajs@aol.com

I went to the Glendale Arizona center and had paid over $1000 for the up front registration fees and supplies that I purchased and had to pay for up front but have been advised by the following individual that I will have to pay for my supplies (that I paid for) to be shipped to me ($20 worth of shipping charges)and I can not get my rebate back either unless I “weigh myself” and continue with the program as though I am still going to the center, etc. even though it is no longer available. Someone please start a class action against them. I am so tired of people ripping me off every way I turn. There are very few honest business people now days. The current trend is to scam others so they can make their money.
