Losing Weight ….Ouch….It Hurts
I went to the dentist on Tuesday and had all my teeth pulled and new dentures put in. Oh my, did that hurt. I still can’t believe I did it. I’m so scared of needles. I had to take 4 xantax before I went just to keep me calm enough to stay in the chair.
In the morning they took the impressions for my dentures. I had to go back at two pm to get my teeth pulled out. Of course, I had to have one stubborn tooth. He had to cut it out so I ended up with stiches. The dentist then put in my dentures. So glad my mouth was still numb.
My husband stopped to get my pain pills on the way home. The dentist told me to take one before the numbness had totally worn off. I don’t like to take pills, so I’ve only taken three since Tuesday.
I know I’ll be losing so real weight for awhile. The only thing I’ve been able to eat is two cans of mushroom soup on Wednesday. Today, I’ve had a can of cream of celery soup.
Eating like this, I should be able to shed the weight quickly. This time, I’m going to KEEP it off.

I’ve got some of that in the garage. I think as long as I can get by with water and soup…I’m going to stick with it.
My son’s wedding is October 5th. I’d like to take off a few pounds by then.

Take it as a blessing in disguise. But getting all those teeth out, it must be so courageous! Had they gone too bad?

I had all my teeth pulled in March of 2006 and I lost about 25 pounds. All I could eat was soup, jello and I drank Ensure because the doctor said I had to be sure to get all those nutrients to keep up my strength. I sooo know you’re pain! But it gets better! And I love your site. I just started a weight loss regiment and I’m just battling through the urges of snacking and getting used to eating healthy! I need to drop a ton of weight so I’m trying to be in this for the long haul. Take care!

Maggs, Snacking was/is my worst problem as well. I use to be such a night muncher. It seemed like after the sun went down, I became such a chow hound.
I tried leaving a comment on your blog but I’m not registered on WordPress so it wouldn’t let me.
A pound at a time….we’ll get to our goal.

I can appreciate your looking for the bright side to your situation but starvation has never had lasting positive results. I agree with one of the other comments suggesting you should be taking in a nutritional shake of some kind. Your body is in a constant need for nutrition and will rob from other parts of the body to fulfill it’s needs. If you don’t supply what your body needs you will definitely lose but not in a good way.
