LA Weight Loss Centers Closing in WV and KY
One of my readers wrote to tell me she had been displaced from her job at a LA Weight Loss located in Kentucky and West Virginia this week. She states everyone was laid off except one counselor in some offices. Others were closed entirely. They were not given any warning this was happening.
They were told this was going to be until the first of the year. Does anyone out there know if they will still have jobs or should everyone be job hunting?
I’m hoping someone can shed some light on this matter.

Pure was the name change for the one 40 miles from my house. When we were shopping in that town, we drove by. It was still LA Weight Loss. They had a big sign out front promoting 1/2 off sale for the program. The funny thing was, only one car was sitting in front of the place.

Well here in So California, they have closed ALL the centers, or so we’ve been told. They are giving mixed answers concerning refunds and shippping lite bars that are owed to clients. I think there is something definitely wrong with this company!

There are plenty of former employees of LAWL / Pure Weightloss sharing compassion not only for their “clients” but also themselves. The centers are all officially closing. I happen to be one employee of many losing their jobs. Whether you have been with the company 1 month or 10 years, you are soon to be in the unemployment line. The program does work as long as you follow it and YOU CAN LOSE WITHOUT THE LITES!
Persevere and you will be successful in your weightloss.

Not sure if this positive will be posted on this site. Yes there are a few LA Weight Loss centers closing. My center is closing and we have been given approx 3-4 weeks notice, my center have given me a letter explaining my options I feel we the clients have been taken care of - orders placed to fill any outstanding product needs, FREE counseling and Free product shipment if needed. We are also taking advantage of a program called Me and MY LA. We have a toll free number to contact a counselor, or the counselor will contact them 2x weekly for continued support. We clients will get to chose our option. I think LA Weight Loss has gone out of its way to help the clients in my area to continue on with their success. Anyone that wants to see negativity can chose that path - and that may be why we are not successful in weight loss, its easy to find blame or distract ourselves from the reality that in our area there is not at this time enough interest in weight loss to keep a business open. This is what I have learned at LA Weight Loss - think positive - look at the glass half full - and make the best choices. I will choose to continue my path of success and beat the odds. Our country is going to be seeing very heavy health care bills and more depression if we don’t look at ourselves in a positive light. As for centers closing - I will miss the staff - and going into see them but I never expected to be a lifetime member. They have given me the tools to succeed. Thank you

I have been very happy with the staff and the people that I have spoke with behind the scenes. They are trying to help with my center closing in WV. LA Weight Loss is going to be missed it has been the only program that has helped me.

I was the manager at the Charleston WV center. They will tell you 2 weeks before the center closes and will not honor every clients bulk just actives for the last 30 days. The centers that changed to pure weight loss is just another name for LA and those centers are closing as well. I tried to help my clients as best as I could getting the products they had paid for the problem was the company could not afford to send me what had already been purchased. I want any center that has not closed let to start looking for jobs and getting you clients all of their products if not they will never see it.

I was told that you guys play on low self esteem. The motto was THE MORE THEY CRY, THE MORE THEY BUY. Ithink that is cruel and you guys need to be unemployed. I thank God I’m not obese because I wouldnt’ want to be taken advantage of.Remember what comes around goes around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went to the LA weight loss in Charleston wv for about 5 months. i lost very little weight despite buying all the junk & working the plan to the point of starvation. i probably would have continued had it not been for one of the counselors. i kept getting this one young girl that was a complete idiot & knew little to nothing about nutrition & weight loss. she was just about selling more of their junk.

This is just a word of encouragement for all those affected by the abrupt closures of the LA Weight Loss Centers, the employees, the patients/members and the franchisees. Hang in there! Opportunity is right around the corner. I would love to talk to some of the former employees, as I know where their heart is.
