I’m having a better afternoon..back in the weight loss mode
I went swimming and feel much better. I can tell I’m getting stronger. I’m able to swim 4 laps before I have to take a break. I remember when I first started, I use to have to take a break after each lap. I’m still have no idea how many calories are used in swimming a lap. I’m going to have to try and find that on here.
After swimming, I went to the gym. I decided not to use the treadmill. I spent over an hour in the rowing machine and burnt off 511 calories. I moved to this arm machine and burnt off another 100 calories. I called it a day after that. It totalled about an hour and half at the gym. I ran into the girl I use to workout with there. We had a nice visit. She said she is going to meet me in the morning at the gym. I’m going…we’ll have to see if she shows up. I remember the past…unreliable. I feel sorry for her though..due to health issues, she has gained back all the weight she had lost the past 7 months. I tried to encourage her…but it made me remember how I felt this morning.
I’ve got to get drinking more water today. It’s time for me to fold another load of laundry. I’m glad that blah feeling has left me.I’m back on track with my weight loss journey…..YEAAAAAA

Well done, you’ve been sticking to your exercise plan and it’s very impressive! Im 19 and dont do as much daily exercise as you so I really admire you’re commitment…
Also remember if the scales show you’ve put on weight I’d put my money on it that it’s just muscle you’ve gained from all your hard work!?

Thanks Lizzy. I’m retired, so I have more time that you do to workout. I had actually forgotten muscle weights more than fat…now I’m REALLY feeling good. Thanks so much~~

Hi Chris. Have bumped into your blog and wanted to say that you are doing so well. It is really hard to keep up the motivation to go to the gym but you got up and went anyway. (I have read all your posts on this page so my comment may relate to all of them LOL)
Being older, younger, retired, working, it is always going to take motivation and stick-ability to keep at this weight loss thing. I liked when you said that no matter what method people chose it still is up to us to move our tails and eat better so we can lose weight.
I hope you have a great day, and good luck for the rest of your journey.

I appreciate your comment M. When people make comments, I feel even more determined. This weight gain prevented me from meeting a friend of mine in Sydney last year. I was too ashamed of how I looked and didn’t call her when I landed. I kick myself now, I know she doesn’t care what size I am….It’s Me!!
