Calories in and calories out

I’ve been doing some reading. It takes 3500 calories to make a pound.

  • Women can lose weight consuming 1200-1500 calories per day.
  • Men can lose by consuming 1500-1800 calories per day.

The ideal weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week.

It sounds easy enough…but bad habits are hard to break. Starting tomorrow, I’m going
to start some GOOD habits.

  1. Walk briskly for 20 minutes. (have to go to the mall if it rains)
  2. March in place 10 minutes. (in the morning and afternoon)
  3. Use my 3 lb weights for 10 minutes (in the morning and evening)

I’ve got to build up to heavier weights but think being comfortable is important. These weights are too heavy for my mom (she is 77 years old) so she will be using cans of soup.
