I’m starting my day off with a cup of hot tea and a piece of watermelon. I just threw away my chocolate covered graham cracker cookies. They are my worst enemy. I’ve always loved cookies and milk in the middle of the night. I had two at 5 am and went back to bed….then I was mad at myself for eating them.

According to Dr. Dave Hnida, it takes longer for warm food to digest. His article also mentioned 5 foods that take longer to digest, which in turn will help weight loss. They are:

  1. Baked Potatoes
  2. Beans
  3. Oatmeal
  4. Fish
  5. Grapes

If one has the urge to snack, low fat yogurt and popcorn or the best. Of course, he said pop, whether it is regular or diet…it’s the worst. I knew that had to be, since I love diet coke. He suggest low fat chocolate milk.

I’m off to the store to buy some grapes and some more watermelon. Time is going by so fast..it is almost time to weigh in again. (Week 2)
