The Scale is Still Going Down
My husband has been laid up for the past 4 days with his sciatica nerve. I took him to the doctor and he has been bedridden since. I've been busy waiting on him. He's been in a lot of pain. I wish I could take his pain for him. I think women deal better with pain than men.
I've also been busy helping a friend was an EEOC lawsuit. I've spent so much time looking stuff up on the computer. I've felt like me and the chair had become one. (I love a challenge.)
I workout on my treadmill this morning for 25 minutes. My knee was not hurting when I quit. I made sure I didn't over do it. I need to read the book that came with the treadmill. There are so many buttons I'm not sure what they all do. I've figured out how to do the incline, the speed, and the fan. It has many different programs on it....from 10,000 step program to 300 step.
I weighed myself before I took my walk and I've lost another pound. I may have gained when I was gone for that week, but I'm one pound below my weight the day I left. That is what is important.
I started my day with a cup of coffee, piece of rye toast and a bottle of water. My lunch consisted of a can of Cream of mushroom soup. It'a already 3:20pm and I haven't had ANY snacks.
It may be raining outside...but I've got sunshine on a cloudy day. Off to grab another bottle of water and chat with my mom.

Glad your still losing, sorry your husbands ill
It was so sweet of you to care for the puppy
I would love to one day go to the Philippines or maybe China or London or France. I wanted to say something I am sorry you did not have a good time. I had a family member and a family friend both do the same thing to me. I think they get so wrapped up in the excitement they don't think to make appointments.
I think sometimes when people are immature, they just don't think. I've been to London but haven't seen China or France. I found London to be VERY VERY expensive and very hectic. There is so much to see there. Very worthwhile trip. I enjoyed traveling in Ireland more though. The people in the small towns were so friendly. It was a lovely experience.
when i was having sciatica nerve issues... i got a massage and i swear she fixed me.
Came across this poll, thought it was interesting.
How strong is the correlation between your weight and your attidude, confidence, and overall happiness?

I found that website interesting. There is such an array of subjects covered with so many different polls. Thanks for sharing that with us.
Sara,
I mentioned a massage to my husband and he won't let anyone put their hands on him. He's as old fashioned as they come.
Chris,
Does his no-massage rule apply to you as well? Like your husband, I don't like the idea of a stranger touching me, but my med-school girlfriend does wonders. I think she is practicing her homework on me, but it helps with my back issues :)
Sarah,
I checked out that poll and was surpised the numbers didn't tend a little more towards the top of the scale. I think it's becoming ever more acceptable and normal to be overweight...
Patrick,
I'm just like my husband. I guess I'm just old fashioned. I don't think they had anything like that when I was growing up. Now I'm older than the hills and pretty set in my ways.
Hey there,
I'm so glad that you are losing weight and staying with it. I've been searching the web for real weight loss stories of people and really find your posts down to earth and refreshing. Keep up the good work!
Warm Regards-
Chantal

Congrats on your weight loss! Sorry to hear about your husband Sciatic I've known a few people, including my Mom who suffered with that pain.
I read your post about the puppy too, I'm a sucker for puppies, we rescued two black lab mixes nearly two years ago and they are my babies.
