More focused on goals

Yesterday we did two lawns and I had only walked 8000 steps. I decided to take the dog for a walk after I got home. Actually, she took me for the walk. By the end of the day, I had almost 15,000 steps. I can't believe I've remembered my meds AND my pedometer so many days in a row. I even drank lots of water those days. Could I be turning over a new leaf? Ahhh, knowing me....I doubt it...but it feels good being on track. Maybe I'm just more focused on my goal.....being healthy and losing weight.

We have two big lawns to do today so I'll make my steps with no problem. My husband is in the process of hooking up the trailer right now. We have to do the strip mall early to get around dealing with parked vehicles. I'm so afraid of throwing a stone and breaking a windshield or dinging a car. I can move like the wind there is no one parked there.

I tried the taco salad at Wendy's yesterday. I haven't checked the calories in it yet but I sure liked it. I ate half for lunch and the other half for supper. I also had a small cup of chili at lunch time. The salad was all I had for supper and it filled my up.

My husband is ready to go. I can't keep progress waiting. Hoping everyone has a good day.

A way to lighten the taco salad is to get a garden salad and put half a chili on it.

That is how Wendy's makes their taco salad. With the lettuce and chili. It come with a little bag of nacho type pieces. I'm on my way to the store to pick up some salad mix...I'm going to make my own tomorrow.
