Losing Weight via Lawn Work
I got a real workout yesterday helping my husband with his lawn business. Of course, I forgot my Omron pedometer. I have two of them, so I think I’m going to stick on in my purse. I seem to remember it, after I’ve left the house. That’s one way to solve that problem. I still need to do some research on how many calories a person burns off pushing a lawnmower. I figure I was actually pushing the lawnmower for about 4 hours.
I got on the scale yesterday…OMG…I knew it…I’ve gained almost all the weight back that I had lost. I’m only shy 6 pounds of being at ground zero. (Sighs) I think sometimes I’m on a self-destructive path. I start too many things and never follow through.
For instance, I bought 60 cans of Slim Fast. I was so determined to give that weight loss program a try. That lasted about two/three days. Now I have all those cans sitting in the back hallway. I can’t really think that I’d be losing weight in that short of time on any program.
My daughter-in-law just sent us pictures of her wedding. It was out in LasVegas so I didn’t go. Anyway, I saw a picture of husband’s exwife….and she is thinner than me…perhaps that will be an incentive for me.
I’m hoping our house will sell this summer so we can move. I want to move farther south….(Tennesse) I like all four seasons..but not such harsh winters.
I’m off to do some laundry.

Wow what a workout. I am so proud of you.
Don’t beat yourself up we all have slip ups. I am moving it up a notch due to a slip up as well.
When I was in my late teens early twenties I tried the slimfast thing. It left me starving and I felt guilty about buying them because they were so expensive. I know will have a slim fast bar but only as a snack and I count them with my WW points.
I make powdered milk smoothies with ice, splenda, and coco powder. Sometimes I make them with pumpkin and spices or bananas. I bet you could make slim fast smoothies.

Good luck to you! It’s hard to become committed to a weight loss program, but you can do it!

Nicole has really come a long way. Wow such determination. It’s so uplifting to see such success. Hoping some of that determination rubs off on me.
M and Iportions are really encouraging people. Thinking about those two, kept me out of the banana creme pie last night. Thanks girls!!!
