The Lawnmower Exercise
Spring really finally here. On Thursday, my husband cut the front lawn and I cut the back. I felt fine when I got up Friday. I figured I must not be in that bad of shape. My husband has a small lawn care business. I decided to help him on Friday.
Here it is, Easter Sunday, and I still feel like someone beat me with a stick all over. I cut grass for 5 hours on Friday. He does the riding mower and I do the push mower. (I’m afraid to learn how to use the riding mower) He also forgot to put the blower in his truck so I swept the sidewalk and this huge driveway with a broom. Of course, that was disasterous…I ended up with a blister and the palms of my hands were red as a beet. He has lots of gloves but I just can’t work with gloves on.
I’m not sure how many calories I burned off with the lawnmower workout…but I know if I did that a couple of times a week along with the gym…I definetly will lose weight. Tuesday, I’ll be helping him again. (I’m checking to make sure he has all the necessary equipment before we leave)
I’ve tried doing the trimmer..I’m a lost cause on that. I either, kill the motor, break the string off, or when I’m really lucky and I can keep it running, I go through all the string in about 10 minutes. He’s banned me from the trimmer as he always had to restart it when I killed the motor, had to rethread it when I broke it off, and also had to refill the spool. Is it any wonder he said “Hands Off!!”
Time to get ready for church. I’m hoping everyone has a Blessed Easter.

Hope church was lovely for you.
My husband gave I talk.
He gave a wonderful and moving talk. I feel a bit sad and tired today.
PS I made myself an Easter basket to enjoy after church. What can I say I am a big kid.
May you feel blessed.

iportion, I’m sorry to hear you are sad and tired. I think sometimes the two of them go hand and hand. I’ll keep you in my prayers. Tomorrow will be a new day.
That is such a cute idea…I’ve never made a basket for myself…but I did give one to my mom and husband. Seeing their smiles is like an Easter basket to me. They took their bunny beanie babies at sat them next to each otherlike they were brother and sister. Those two are always thinking. LOL
