Who's going to lose the most weight...hubby or me
I got up about 9 am today. My husband called to let me know he was at the airport in Orlando waiting to board his plane. I had just hung up the phone from him and my sister from West Virginia called to visit. I told her she always keeps us on track. She usually only calls on Mondays...so when I've had my days of the week screwed up...she straightens me out. I find now that I'm retired, it is so easy to forget what day of the week it is. Guess that's ok...means no stress.
Mom and I ran to the store and I picked up two helium balloons that said welcome home. Of course while we were gone, he had called three times to let me know he had landed and was on the way home. It was so cute. The third time he called, he was playing a song by Allison Krause, When You Say Nothing At All over the phone. You can hear and buy the cd Now That I've Found You at Amazon.com. That was a song from our early dating days. It sure made me smile hearing it again.
I started going through all the directons and possible side effects of all his new prescriptions. I'm hoping he can remember when to take them all. I'm going to have to be watching for the side effects.
The doctor also has him on an 1800 calorie diet.......this is going to be interesting....getting to change his eating habits. I got rid of almost all of his junk food before he got home. (Pop tarts, slim jims, cheetos, doritos and cheese dip) I'm going to make it a weight loss contest between the two of us. We both are competitors...it should make it interesting. The bottom line is, we both have to lose...might as well have fun doing it.
