Weight Watchers Free Advice in January

On January 2, 2006, Weight Watchers will be offering a toll-free hotline number for anyone who wants suggestions about weight loss. This will be available for the entire month of January, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The number to call is 1-888-ATIP4YOU.

They will offer dozens of suggestions and ideas to help with New Year weight loss resolutions. They will offer such tips as meeting details, articles and recipes during the month.

You will hear such tips as:

  1. Challenges Tips—-Each challenge you face and deal with builds character and makes you stronger for the next time. Begin by resisting just one small food item per day or walking or walking around the block one more time ….it all adds up. Success breeds success. This tip was provided by Weight Watchers meeting leader Myra Coutee of Missouri City, Texas.
  2. Exercise/Fitness Tip—-A little fitness can go a long way! Take your body measurements with a piece of ribbon. Let’s face it…..we’ve seen the number on the scale and that’s about all we can take. If we use pieces of ribbon for eachmeasurement, we don’t have to face the numbers. A month later, using the same ribbon, re-measure and cut off the excess. This will show how much you have lost in each area, without knowing the “number” where you began. Tip provided by Weight Watchers meeting leader Kim Chmiel of Reisterstown,Maryland.

Remember, you don’t get fit, you get fit for your family. Being fit can and should be a family commitment, and a family challenge. They learn from you, so set a good example.
