Study suggests seasonal eating habits

A study was done on 593 men and women from central Mass. which were approximately 48 years old, over weight or obese. This study showed more calories were consumed in the fall and winter.

I agree with the winter season, but I don’t understand the reasoning for the increase during the fall. Thanksgiving couldn’t count that much…..could it?

I think it is about the relative change in strength of sunlight. After summer it is downhill the rest of the year.

Look at seasonal affective disorder and you will see how sun exposure effects serotonin production, which, to some extent, sorta controls hunger.
