Exercising Again...

Well its been kinda hard with all the stuff I have been trying to do, but I started exercising again :)

I went to the YMCA and got a yearly membership. It costs $350. That seems a bit north of where I thought it would be, but whatever.

I played basketball against this 40 year old guy who was literally going to half court, facing away from the basket, and swooshing the ball in the net. He did this many times.

I being dumb of course wanted to play him. We played like 7 games and surprisingly I actually wone one of them. Most the games I scored like 5 to his 21. The game I won I think I made 3 consecutive 3 point shots. :)

I also went for a jog later on and my roomie made some yummie asian food for dinner. Today is my roomies birthday. I would like to buy him a cake, but likely I would eat 90% of it, and that does not fuse well with the whole weight loss idea.

Drinking Soda Makes You Fat (Excessive sugar calories)

I am hyper sensitive to caffiene. For that reason I rarely drink soda. I tend to drink a decent amount of juice though.

The biggest problem with drinking sugar filled liquids is that drinking callorie dense juice or soda does not alert us that we do not need to eat as much food.

  • Each soda normally has about 120 calories in it.
  • 1 soda a day = 3,600 calories a month.
  • 3500 calories = 1 pound of fat / month
  • 1 pound / month = 12 pounds / year
More information available from this cause driven marketing PDF.

I drink lots of fluids and need to cut a bit of the juice out of my life. The trick for me is going to be more faithful use of THE CUP.

The Cup.

My water cup holds 64 ounces, which is one half gallon.

Roughly the size of one size thirteen foot.

The Foot.

If I am drinking lots of water then I am not drinking lots of high calorie sugar drink.

and yes, that TV is a ghetto symphonic. it is used primarily for RBI baseball.
